From left to right, we see the smiling faces of Billy Wright, Stan Cullis, Derek Dougan, Billy Simpson, Steve Bull, and Billy McGarry. Each of these men has made significant contributions to the success and legacy of Wolverhampton Wanderers. Billy Wright, the team's greatest-ever captain, led Wolves to three League Championships and two FA Cup victories in the 1950s. Stan Cullis, another legendary figure, managed the team to three League Championships and an FA Cup win in the 1950s and 1960s. Derek Dougan, a prolific striker in the 1960s, holds the record for the most goals scored in a single season for Wolves with 32 goals in 1961-62. Billy Simpson, a versatile player who made over 400 appearances for the club, was a key figure in the team's success in the 1960s and 1970s. Steve Bull, who is affectionately known as "Bully" is the all-time leading goalscorer for Wolves with 198 goals in all competitions. He led the team to promotion to the Premier League in 1993 and was a fan favorite for over a decade. Billy McGarry, who managed Wolves from 1974 to 1977, led the team to promotion to the First Division in 1976. His innovative tactics and commitment to youth development laid the foundation for the team's success in the 1980s.
