Vessels at Polruan, Lanteglos by Fowey, Cornwall. 1904
A view of vessels moored at Polruan, seen from across the river from Hall Walk. The SS Antelope is in the foreground, with people embarking in rowing boats. The sailing vessel behind is possibly the Henry Harvey, along with other masted sailing vessels. The SS Antelope was a steel twin-screw steamer weighing 668 tons and built by the Laird Brothers, Birkenhead, in 1889. It was owned by the Great Western Railways and registered at Milford. (Gone by 1919.) Photographer: Herbert Hughes
