The first production Tudor 2, modified on the production line to Tudor 7 standard, powered by Bristol Hercules 120 radial engines, in place of Rolls-Royce Merlin 102s. First flown on 17 April 1946 RX was used for cabin heating tests before delivery to the Ministry of Supply as VX199 in March 1949, for use by the Telecommunications Research Establishment at Defford.
