Both Marjorie and Dorothy worked as clerks at Swindon Works. This group was one of a number of societies set up, or supported by, the GWR. By 1937 Marjorie was married and would have given up her role as a clerk. However, as a wife of a GWR employee she was still able to enjoy the benefits of the many clubs and societies
