Bristol ranked as England's fifth most heavily bombed city between November 24th, 1940 to May 15th, 1944. The relentless bombings left behind ruins and devastation that reshaped the landscape of this historic city. The photograph itself dates back to approximately December 5th, 1940—just days after the destructive event took place.
