Born in Dorking, Surrey on May 22nd, 1907, Olivier's illustrious career spanned decades and left an indelible mark on both stage and screen. Throughout his life, he was married three times to Jill Esmond, Vivien Leigh (from 1940 to 1960), and Joan Plowwright. Olivier's journey began with a film debut in 'Too Many Crooks' in 1930 before establishing himself as a versatile actor through captivating performances in classic and modern plays on London's esteemed stages.
