The Old Kings Head was a cherished local establishment, having served the community since at least 1941, as evidenced by the trading record detailed on the reverse of this print. The pub was once under the ownership of the Charrington and Company Limited, a well-known name in the British brewing industry. However, by 1961, the Old Kings Head had undergone a name change to Babushka, and later Imbibe, before ultimately being demolished to make way for luxury flats in the late 20th century. This photograph offers a glimpse into the past, providing a tangible connection to the rich history of London's pub culture during the 1960s.
