This photograph captures the corner view of the Lamb Public House, located in Bethnal Green, London, during the 1930s. The Lamb PH, with its distinctive red brick facade and ornate signage, was once a beloved local watering hole and gathering place for the community. The image transports us back in time, offering a glimpse into the past as we see the pub's exterior adorned with the iconic "Lamb and Flag" insignia. The building, which dates back to 1931, was once a part of the Charrington and Company Limited's extensive network of public houses. The back of the print reveals the trading record for the Lamb Public House, providing us with valuable historical information. We learn that the pub was in operation as early as 1924 and continued to serve the Bethnal Green community until at least 1961. By July 2018, the Lamb PH had been repurposed for residential use.
