Step back in time with this photograph of the Earl of Aberdeen Public House in Hoxton, London, taken in the 1930s. The image showcases the corner view of this historic pub, with its distinctive red brick facade and ornate signage. The Earl of Aberdeen PH was a beloved local establishment, a staple of the Hoxton community for many years. The pub, which was owned by the Hoare and Company Limited, was located at 11 Hoxton Street, London N1 5DG. Sadly, by July 2018, the Earl of Aberdeen had closed its doors and was demolished. The date of its demise was 1939, a loss to the community and to the rich history of pubs in London. This photograph offers a glimpse into the past, a time when the Earl of Aberdeen was a thriving public house where friends and neighbors gathered to share a pint and a good conversation.
