In 1930, Masefield was appointed Poet Laureate, a position he held until his death in 1967. His tenure as Poet Laureate saw the publication of numerous collections, including "Collected Poems" and "The Complete Poems and Selected Prose." Masefield's poetry, deeply rooted in the human experience, continues to be celebrated for its emotional depth and poetic skill.
