Boy Charlton of Australia, and Arne Borg of Sweden, 1928. Charlton (1907-1975) set five world records, and won three silver and one bronze medal. Borg (1901-1987) broke 32 world records and won five Olympic medals. Borg won gold in the 1500m freestyle at the 1928 Summer Olympics, held in Amsterdam.
